Gun designs that date back before 1899 are considered primitive weapons. This is my muzzleloader, a CVA Wolf model that uses musket caps as its ignition source. I got it for Christmas and am just trying it out now. Such fun it is. Powder is poured down the barrel, then a ball or bullet is rammed on top of that.
