I had no idea what this fish was until I looked it up. The technique I was using was to cast a 3/4 ounce jig with weedguard and a rubber swimbait trailer upstream, let it bottom bounce down current, and repeat. This sea robin apparently liked the presentation.
There are great shore and kayak spinning and fly fishing areas around this bridge. It is a fun and popular spot.
The bridge is on Route 1A. General parking is at the southwest side of the bridge. Parking for a small hand launch boat ramp is on the northeast side of the bridge.
