The 400 billion gallon Quabbin Reservoir is open to fishing in designated areas one hour before sunrise to one hour after sunset the third Saturday in April through the third Saturday in October, as long as it is not iced over. There is no wading or ice fishing. Boats need to be approved, or can be rented.
